Since 1993, Valorplast has been advancing the circular economy for plastic packaging through three strategic priorities:
- Increasing the recycling rate of household plastic packaging, particularly by promoting eco-design;
- Delivering high-quality recycled plastics that support high value-added applications and sustainable end markets;
- Driving innovation and working collaboratively to develop the recycling value chains of the future.
In 2025, Valorplast managed the recycling of 154,500 tonnes of plastic waste, including 120,500 tonnes of household plastic packaging collected through France's separate collection system. Of this volume, 76% was recycled in France, while the remaining 24% was processed in neighbouring European countries.
As the organisation guaranteeing nationwide take-back solutions for household plastic packaging, Valorplast also plays a key role in expanding recycling streams for plastic waste collected at household recycling centres and for commercial and industrial plastic packaging.
