Petcore Europe is pleased to announce its annual conference in Brussels from 6-7 February 2019 in the Renaissance Brussels Hotel right in front of the European Parliament. Building up on the success of last year, Petcore Europe is happy to invite to its 2019 conference over two days in a prestigious new venue in the heart of the European neighborhood directly at Gare Luxembourg - only 15 minutes from Zaventem airport.

On Friday, 22 June 2018 4PET Recycling invited to its recycling plant in Duiven (Netherlands) to the opening of their new recycling line for PET trays! The new tray-to-tray PET recycling line is one of a kind and the first to be operated world-wide. The opening event with the name "creating circularity" was a huge success and shows the right direction for PET recycling.

European bottled water producers aim to increase the collection of PET bottles and the use of recycled PET.

Last week the European Federation of Bottled Waters (EFBW) announced four industry-wide pledges that aim to increase the collection of PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottles and the use of recycled PET. This will accelerate the shift towards a more circular European economy.

On 2 May 2018 experts from the PET and aerosol industry met in the Petcore Europe offices in Brussels for the first meeting of the recently launched Plastic Aerosol Recycling Special Industry Group. 

Chairman of the new group Johannes Burghaus (Procter & Gamble) and Christian Crépet (Petcore Europe) welcomed 15 participants from the entire value chain - brand owners, (aerosol) packaging designers and manufacturers, waste management organisations, etc.

On 24 and 25 April experts from the plastics recycling industry met in the RAI in Amsterdam for the Plastics Recycling Show Europe 2018. As value chain association and official conference supporterPetcore Europe could of course not miss the event.

On day one an entire session was dedicated to the latest developments within the PET recycling sector. The speakers of the session focused among other topics on PET trays recycling and the pioneer water marking project whose aim is to improve sorting.

The show's draft conference programme has been released. It promises plenty of interesting presentations. Amongst others, industry experts as well as representatives of the European Commission and Parliament will talk about current issues of plastics recycling.
