Since joining Chemetall in 1998, Carlo has built an international career defined by commitment, leadership, and progress. After taking on operational and leadership roles across Europe, he expanded his impact from the Frankfurt head office into business and product development. Today, he leads Chemetall’s global New Business Development activities in Plastics Recycling, driven by innovation, sustainability, and a more circular future.

Professional Career
1998 - Joined Chemetall – BASF on April 1, 1998, in the Netherlands as Project Operations Manager Services for BeNeLux, Germany, and France.
2010 - Took on global responsibility for product management in water treatment and maintenance products.
2013 - Became Global Key Industry Manager Automotive Components, with a focus on plastic fascia.
2020 - Stepped into the role of Global Segment Manager Plastics Recycling, helping shape Chemetall’s direction in a more circular economy.
Carlo studied Management, Economics and Law at Avans Hogeschool in ’s-Hertogenbosch and holds a master’s degree in European Public Administration from Erasmus Hogeschool in Brussels. He further broadened his expertise with a bachelor’s degree in Dutch law from Radboud University in Nijmegen.
Sustainability and circularity are at the heart of Carlo’s work, with a strong focus on resource efficiency, lower emissions, and the value of reuse and recycling.
His way of working is defined by collaboration, teamwork, and a continuous drive to improve.
