The PET industry generates substantial testing data on food contact substances, yet with no international standards in place, laboratories operate in silos, using different methods and approaches. The result: no shared picture of what substances are actually present across the value chain, and limited ability to act before regulation requires it.
That is why PETCORE EUROPE launched GENI — the General NIAS Project. The PET industry’s first shared food contact safety intelligence initiative, GENI provides a neutral, centralised hub for interlaboratory testing data, enabling the industry to benchmark testing performance, improve comparability, and build the collective knowledge needed to make better-informed food safety decisions. KÖR provides the digital platform that makes this possible.
Join us to discover what GENI is, how it works, and what role your organisation can play in it.
What we’ll cover:
The initiative: why GENI and why now
What collective monitoring means for the future of PET food safety and circularity, and why isolated testing results are no longer enough.
The platform: from testing data to shared intelligence
A walkthrough of the data infrastructure behind GENI, including a live look at the reporting dashboards participants receive.
The consortium: who is involved and how it works
How GENI brings together the PET value chain, and what collective participation looks like in practice.
