We established the Labels Working Group within PETCORE EUROPE to develop, understand and promote best practices regarding the Labels and Sleeves on PET Packaging and their impacts on recycling and circularity.
Labels and Sleeves play a critical role in packaging, providing essential information, protection and consumer appeal on shelf. However, as integral components of the packaging, the materials used in them - such as plastic, paper, inks, varnishes, adhesives, and liners – together with their size and application, must be compatible with recycling processes to ensure the overall sustainability and recyclability of PET packaging.
